12 killed as boat capsizes on way to Puerto Galera

"Let's all pray for TC Nina Cads eternal repose. She encountered a boat accident yesterday on her way to Puerto Galera." I woke up last sunday with this text message coming from my supervisor TC Mac. I was shocked. I had to read all over again, scroll up and down looking for some twist of joke in his message but booom...it ended there. Her face registered right through my head when another unread message confirmed what the first tried to say, "Nina Cads died in an accident today at Puerto Galera. The boat was hit with big waves and it flipped over. She was declared dead on arrival by the doctor around 3:25pm. She was with TC Mae Benitez during that time. It was Mae's team building, 6 agents joined the activity. We have a total of 8 participants 2 of which were Mae and Nina. All of them survived except Nina. We are now coordinating with local authorities regarding the transport of her body. I have already informed Boss JP and Boss JC. Bodge already informed Nina's family. I already spoke with Nina's father regarding the travel details. Please cascade to your tam and let's offer a prayer for Nina's soul. May she rest in peace." I immediately texted my friend then to gather further information about the accident. I don't know. It's just that I couldn't believe it happened in just a snap of a finger...especially for someone I used to always see in my workplace. Immeasurable pain surfaced me thinking as to how her family and friend would react upon hearing what had happened. I couldn't imagine how it broke their heart..it's way beyond thoughts. Until now, I still get goose bumps all over whenever it crosses my mind. My sincere condolences to the family of the victims. Prayers for them and strength to those who were left behind.
